December is finally upon us and with it comes cold, dry weather that wreaks havoc on the skin. My skin gets so dry, itchy, red and irritated. My winter green beauty favorites are my must have products for surviving the dry skin which this season brings.
I did an extensive review of the brand Beautycounter HERE and I’m back to rave about another favorite of mine, Rejuvenating Radiance Serum. As with all serums, you use it after cleaning your face and before applying a moisturizer. Personally, I don’t like using heavy creams on my face at night so this is just perfect. It is lightweight yet moisturizing to use morning and night. The scent is very light as well, without the scent of alcohol which some other serums tend to have. EWG rates it a “2”. You can order from the Beautycounter website HERE or from my favorite consultant, Sarah HERE. She is really great about letting me sample all of her products and sharing her extensive knowledge of the brand. She shares all of the sales and deals on her Instagram HERE.
Target had an awesome black Friday deal on the cosmetic brand, W3ll People. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I snagged a few of their products. One of my favorites, is their Nudist Colorbalm in the color “Poppy”. It is a tinted lip balm and my favorite, particularly for the hydration it delivers. I suffer from dry lips all year round and this is just perfect. “Poppy” looks amazing paired with Fruit Pigmented Lip Gloss: Sugar Plum Sheer from: 100% Pure applied over it for a shiny lip look. Best of all, W3ll People Nudist Colorbalm retails for $13.99. Read more about some some other budget friendly lipglosses in my article HERE. Shop W3ll People on their own website, Target.com, or Amazon.
A month or so ago, I won an Instagram giveaway of a giftset from O My Skincare. They sell organic skin- care and hair- care products. O Salve My Dry Skin is perfect for my extremely dry and painful legs this time of year. After I shower and exfoliate my legs, using the scrub from my article HERE, I dry off and apply the salve. It is made of all organic and natural ingredients that smell mildly of lavender. A little goes a long way and, because of its all natural ingredients, it is perfect for your dry- skinned children as well. My daughter is nearly as fond of this product as I am. There are 3 size choices that start at $20 for the 4 oz. size. If their beautiful products aren’t enough convincing for you, the fact that they use only glass and tin containers which can be recycled or reused; and packaged in recycled materials, should be. I love to shop small companies that care about the environment. Check out their website HERE.
What are your winter green beauty favorites for surviving this cold, dry weather? Can’t wait to hear from you!
Until next time,
