Subscription boxes are the way to go this holiday season if you are struggling to find a great gift for someone on your list. What is more fun than receiving a box of surprise gifts? LOVE GOODLY subscription boxes are a favorite of mine with all of their products catering to an eco- friendly, nontoxic, and vegan lifestyle. Each box contains 4-6 mostly full sized products. My favorite part is the variety of items you get from beauty and skin care, to style or home accessories, and to snack or wellness items. Like Beautycounter, mentioned in my article HERE, Love Goodly too, has a list of banned ingredients you won’t find in any of their products. I love supporting companies that care about my health as much as I do!

Because I use products which my budget will allow, LOVE GOODLY was a natural choice. Many of the products in their bi-monthly subscription boxes are brands I know and love. And if I don’t know of them yet, I want to learn about them, as they are typically affordable, quality products. Pacifica, Blissoma, Juice Beauty, RMS, MyChelle are just a few of the brands you might find in your box. Glancing through past boxes, I have found that I have never been disappointed.

I took advantage of Love Goodly’s Black Friday deal and purchased the December box curated by Emily Deschanel. Typically, the bi-monthly box is $29.95 with free shipping, but with their special, they offered a $98 box for $23.96. This amazing value convinced me to give it a try. All of their boxes do promise to be over a $75 retail value.

Love Goodly eco-friendly

My December/January box arrived on 12/10/16, earlier than the expected ship date of 12/15/16. It contained 5 skin- care/ beauty items, 2 snack/wellness items and an organic tote bag all packaged with recyclable materials. I knew that I would be receiving a Pacifica lip gloss as that was a spoiler for this box and you might be aware that I am quite a fan from my article HERE.

MyChelle Perfect C serum is an item I am excited about. As a woman in my mid-thirties, wrinkles and fine lines are quickly becoming a concern. This serum contains 17% L-Ascorbic Acid that promises to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It is cruelty-free, vegan and made without gmos, gluten, parabens, petroleum, phthalates, silicones, sulfates, ureas, artificial fragrances, and artificial colors. Serums are meant to be applied after cleansing your face and before moisturizer. MyChelle Perfect C serum is a top rated product on EWG due to its safe ingredients and rates a “1” on EWG’s quality scale. Read more about the rating HERE. It is a full sized product at .5 fl. oz. and retails for $44.

Cote nail polish in #38 is cruelty free, vegan, and free from major toxins and allergens: formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate, toluene, camphor, formaldehyde, resin, TPHP, xylene, ethyl tosylamide, parabens and gluten. #38 is described as a muted maroon color that complements any skin tone and nail shape. I think this color is perfect for the holidays. Cote nail polish is full sized at .4 fl. oz. and is an $18 value. Review coming soon!

Mullein & Sparrow Facial Steam is a blend of organic herbs to help detoxify your skin. It helps bring toxins to the surface so they can be flushed away. You can either steam your face after cleansing, or drink a tea made with the herbs to internally detoxify your skin. It smells amazing and I’m excited to give it a try. All of Mullein & Sparrow products are vegan, cruelty-free and often, organic as well. The facial steam is a sample size at approximately .5 oz.

HelloMellow Uplift avocado mango body butter is made of very clean ingredients of avocado butter, mango butter and essential oils, and not diluted with water. They are described as very soothing to a variety of skin conditions with the ability to nourish and heal. Their products are made with all natural ingredients and no fillers or preservatives. HelloMellow Uplift body butter is a mini size with a retail value of $6.

Pacifica Enlightened lip gloss in the shade, “Nudist”, as I mentioned above, was the one item I knew I was receiving in this box. I am a huge fan of this brand for their ability to create safe, quality products for budget minded people such as myself. Nudist is described as a golden pearl nude shade. It is vegan, cruelty free and formulated without carmine, talc, FD&C colors parabens and petroleum. Read more about why I love this gloss over HERE. Pacifica Enlightened gloss is a full size .1 oz. with a retail value of $10.

Garden of Life Raw Organic Protein in the flavor “Chocolate” is an organic, gluten-free, non gmo, vegan, dairy free, and soy free protein powder. It contains 22 grams of plant protein, 0 grams of sugar, a number of vitamins and probiotics, 12 enzymes, and only 100 calories. Garden of Life is a certified “B Corp” of which I am a huge fan for their high standards of social and environmental performance. Read more about it HERE. I am looking forward to making a shake with this powder soon. It is one serving in a 1.2 oz. packet.

Boom Chicka Pop in the flavor “Sweet & Salty Kettle Corn” is a whole grain popcorn that is gluten and preservative free. As the package boasts, it is the perfect combination of sweet and salty. It only contains 4 ingredients, and is so good that it was rated “Top Popcorn” by Clean Eating Magazine. The sweet & salty kettle corn is a 1 oz. bag which is one serving.

Last but not least, the box contained a reusable organic tote bag. As part of my New Year’s resolution, I plan on reducing my plastic usage, so the bag could not have come at a better time. Because it is made of organic cotton, it can be washed. I plan on getting a lot of use out of it.

Wouldn’t you love receiving one of the LOVE GOODLY subscription boxes as a gift? They make great holiday gifts or you can treat yourself to the Love Goodly box. At under $30, their boxes are more than worth their value. Which Love Goodly subscription box product described above piques your interest? Can’t wait to hear from you!
