100 days real food cookbook review

Finding out I was selected as an ambassador for the newest ​100 Days of Real Food cookbook was such an honor for me! I’ve been a big fan of the author, Lisa Leake’s for a while now. Once I discovered it, her website, 100 days of Real Food quickly became my “bible” for healthy eating. Simplicity is key for me these days and that is something she really gets. It is true, you can still eat healthy when life gets busy.

At first glance, ​100 Days of Real Food fast & fabulous is a lovely book perfect for anyone’s cookbook collection. The pictures are stunning, and really entice you to make every meal. You can almost taste the recipes as you flip through the pages. Personality is apparent throughout the book. You can really tell that cooking is a big part of the author’s family life.

The cookbook boasts over 100 recipes, almost all of which are new to her fans. They feature simple healthy ingredients that don’t require much prep time. I don’t know about you but for my busy life, that is important and something I really appreciate with this book. Be sure to check out the Easy Fish Tacos recipe I shared from this very cookbook earlier this week, and give it a try. It is very good! Some other recipes I know are going to be favorites in my household, Kale, Sausage, and White Bean Soup & Feta, and Avocado Pasta Salad. My menu plan is filled for weeks with this great book.

If it’s meal plans you enjoy, she offers 4 new ones, one for every season. Need lunch box ideas? She does not disappoint with a whole chapter devoted to new, easy ideas. One of my favorite features though, has got to be the guides in the front of the book for taking the stress out of grocery shopping. She even shares grocery store lists of what exactly to look for in the stores we all know and love.

Book Launch Party

We attended the book launch party this past weekend where I got to meet the author and had her sign the copy I am giving away today. In case you are wondering, yes, she really is as “down to earth” and as sweet as she seems. We sampled some of the other recipes in the book and they were all so good. Couscous and Tomato Salad was one of my favorites!

    I love cookbooks! And this book looks like it would be perfect for my new lifestyle. I’ve been working to change my eating habits for the past two weeks and have lost 5 lbs so far as a result!
